The following information is based on my personal experiences, research and numerous conversations with nutrition, and health and fitness related individuals & experts. In a speaking and training environment, I usually cover this information in a three hour talk.
Are you ready to make a change? Do you have written goals that covers what you want to accomplish? Can you be disciplined enough to start a program and STICK with it?
Many people fail on this because they are not clears on their objectives or they become clouded in their judgment based on comments or discouragement from people close to them.
The medical community automatically will reject most of this information for a variety of reasons. First, they don’t make money when you choose an alternative method that takes revenue and business away from them. Secondly, you will never find anyone from the medical community who will ever take the countless amount of hours and research or try by personal experiences to see if any of this information works or is valid. The diploma’s proudly displayed on their office walls give them the right to say “no” to most things they don’t understand. Then, you the patient buy into the “no.” Do your own research – you have options as it relates to your health.
When a person starts on a new health and fitness path, you will experience many changes with your body. Some of them may be discomforting and uncomfortable. In most cases, that means you’re on your way to success. Yet, when most people experience a new change, THEY QUIT. These changes are usually classified under the title of detoxification. Acne, increased gas levels, pains, headaches, etc., can all be associated with detoxification your body so please know in advance that anything is possible when you take your body through a detoxification process. You have to work hard to get over the other side – which is great health and maybe a wonderful adventure.
Last but not least, let’s talk about excessive compulsive. Hearing that I, or others who choose to be healthy, lean and fit are classified excessive compulsive. Most of the trainers at my health club share in the same story. Know this: people who are committed to health and fitness and have their bodies running at 100% are goal orientated, disciplined and hunting for success. And, they have a thirst for adventure and living life to its fullest. If that’s what is called excessive compulsive, then I’ll take it.
